Samira Naemi Ruschetta

Samira Naemi Ruschetta interrogates environments shaped by the relentless pursuit of attention — a phenomenon that extends beyond digital platforms into physical space. Central to her practice is the intersection between the physical body and the online world, where intimate gestures associated with personal devices collide with public and spatial experience.

Working across video, sound, and installation, Ruschetta reflects on forms of contemporary consumption, ranging from self-help culture and self-care rituals to internet discourse, misogynistic online figures, sad girl aesthetics, and consumer products. Her works navigate states of humor, hysteria, and emotional excess, creating spaces that critically and affectively examine the entanglement of identity, media, and desire.
